Into Your Eyes

The first time I talked to you,
you can't even look me in the eye
afraid of coming too near
Can't even risk standing too close.

Seems like you are running away
from my presence, warmth, and gaze
Something scares you from deep within me

But last night when you were beside me all night
And you spoke the words in public
I looked into your eyes as if testing your courage
Searching if there is hint of terror and shock
But you blinked softly and looked at me gently
As you say the words "selfless" and an "open book"
Am I such an admirable woman to you?

And now it is you who approaches me when I carry four bottles of water.
It is you who cares if I hurt my ankles with fall.
It is you who opens doors and pours water on the glasses
It is you who
