It's always nostalgic to go back to Maginhawa. I lived here during the first years of moving out after college, and have endeavored to try all the restaurants at the "eat street" that my fresh grad money would allow.
After several years, I come back and see that the old restos now have new names. The exteriors are exactly the same, since renovating is probably expensive.
Inside, though, they changed the color scheme, the chair layouts, the decors, the lighting, the food, staff and management, service, thus, the overall ambiance... So now, it looks familiar, but it's not!
At the times I pass by Maginhawa, I realize that people are like that too. They make look the same on the outside -- just slight changes on hair, weight, or style. But inside... those years have changed them, too.
It's nostalgic, but will I go back? Probably not... I like where I live.
