Remember the Pain

Before you immerse yourself
Drown yourself with lies
Before you let the memories cloud your mind
And the age-old emotion to dull your senses

You should remember that
Accompanying the heat of passion
The intensity of desire,
is a killing reality of an illusion of love.

Before he held you close inside his arm
His eyes darted somewhere afar
Before he squeezed your hand tightly
He has tasted another one's tongue

Before you reminisce your sweet moments
As you remember the taste of his skin
The movement of his tongue
The spice in his fingertips
The warmth and urgency of his touch
The pressure of his body against yours
And the way he engulfs you with his might,

When the wave of feelings die down,
You will be left broken in silence
Cut off from your heart
And will be forced to walk head high
With pride and denial
That you had wanted what is fake
Than what is real.

That you would really rather just sleep beside him
Not sleep with him.
That you would rather enjoy the tiny kisses planted
On your forehead than the tongue slipping into yours
That you would rahter have great coversations
than spend the next hour groping into each other's body.

That you really do not buy his idea of "love"
And that you never really loved him on your own.
